Soyez prêts !

et ready for the return of Black Stone Cherry. The Kentucky rockers have put the final touches on their next album, ‘Magic Mountain,’ which is now locked in for a May 6 street date.

The band chose noted rock producer Joe Barresi to oversee the album. His credits include work on albums from Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden, Chevelle and Queens of the Stone Age, among many others.

Speaking about the disc, the band stated, “Not since before our first album have we felt the freedom and confidence that we felt while writing and recording this album. After touring the world behind three previous albums that we are extremely proud of, we feel this album best captures the live energy, honesty and vibe that encompasses our true musicianship.”

Fans will get their first taste of that musicianship later this month when ‘Me and Mary Jane’ is released as the lead single. The song is expected to arrive at radio by mid-February.

Black Stone Cherry will also begin supporting the new album with dates in the U.K. and Europe in late February and March, before returning to North America for a spring full of shows. Their spring dates will give the band a mix of rock festival and radio show dates as well as a support spot on Seether‘s spring trek (click the button below for dates). Among their festival appearances, fans can catch them at the Fort Rock, Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Beale Street Music Festival and Rock on the Range events.
